WEST Dubbo's Matt McIntyre defeated his younger brother Michael to reach this morning's final of the open pairs in the Junior South Pacific bowls carnival at Warilla Bowling Club.
Matt McIntyre and partner Chris Herden (Tamworth) beat Michael McIntyre and Sam Pryor 19-13 in yesterday's semi-final. In the other semi-final Dylan Robinson (Dapto) and Tom Farrell (Dubbo) beat Paul Webb and Ben Bourne (Merrylands) with the last bowl of the match, 18-17.Earlier, Warilla combination Michael Bayo and Kyle Johannes were knocked out in the quarter-finals. Playing on their home green, they lost by two shots to Merrylands pair Ben Bourne and Paul Webb.Robinson and Farrell beat Ben Shapcott (Huskisson) and Dale Samaha (Towradgi) in their quarter-final, while McIntyre-Herden edged out Kingswood pair Andrew Bennett and Ben Swain on the fourth extra end.In today's singles final, Kyle Johannes plays Louren Katague from Merrylands.
