WICKY Vic reports that Jamberoo Bowling Club has reached the preliminary final of the Bowls NSW Clubs Challenge.
Jamberoo's team includes David Ward (singles), Cameron Baker and Warren Duncan (pairs) and Alan Pirie, Ron Wiggins, Glenn Moran and Trevor Martin (fours). In intra-club action, Moran, Trevor Martin and Bob Missingham defeated Vic East, Steel Caldwell and Danny Keenan 24-12 in round one of the triples championship. Keenan's side was within two shots after 16 ends, but Martin's team took seven of the next eight for the win. Cameron Baker, Brian Moore and Jason Martin also beat rookies Geoff O'Brien and Warwick Drew - who teamed with Ian Alexander - 28-19.
