ENTRIES are being taken for the 2008 NSW Bowls Club Challenge.

The seven bowler-per-team event is split into games of singles, pairs and fours, with the club winning at least two of the three rinks winning the match.

After clubs battle it out with others from their region, the top sides will progress to the state finals.

The event will be split into six divisions, with the men's and women's gold medal events to attract some top-class bowlers.

The silver divisions are restricted to Grade 2 Pennants players and below, while the men's blue division is restricted to players in No 5 Pennants and below.

This should ensure that bowlers of all standards have a standard of competition that suits them.

Prize money will be given to clubs that make it into post-sectional play.
