FORMER NSW bowls representative Wayne Lambourne won his second Darby Ross Singles at Kahibah yesterday despite a hiccup in his middle match.

Lambourne (Maitland City) beat Ian Papworth (Kahibah), who had been unbeaten in his previous nine games this week, 21-17 in the final match yesterday to secure the title.

After beating Les Pyke (Windale Gateshead) 21-11, Lambourne led Cabramatta's Andrew Gardner 20-5 before losing 11 consecutive ends to be beaten 21-20. Lambourne finished with two wins plus 13 shots, followed by Gardner on two wins plus eight.
