Rowe Is Re-elected As Zone President

ERNIE Rowe was re-elected Zone 16 Bowls Association president for the fifth year in a row at the recent AGM.

Ernie Ronald and Kerry Neave were elected patrons and Woonona's Tom Canvin a state councillor.

Windang's Ken Forbes was elected senior vice-president and Brian Ayrton and Bob Upton vice-presidents.

Norm Chant was re-elected secretary and publicity officer, with Brian Gale the assistant secretary.

Neil Bayo will be the junior bowls co-ordinator and the junior committee will be Wayne Ford, Eric Johannes, Ken Riddle, Cayne Ford and Norm Chant.

The zone selectors are Eric Ellem, Matt Sargeant, John Green, Tom Ellem and Ernie Ronald.

The match committee will include Norm Chant, Wayne Ford, John Fry, Ian Kenny and John Cummings.

Woonona's Brian Gibson will chair the coaching committee, which includes John Green, Geoff Rose, Zel Diamant, Dennis Wagstaff and Rex Wynn. The umpires committee needs three more volunteers and will include Keith Kelton, Len Softly and Frank Nichols.

Wayne Vardie will chair the greens committee that includes Scott Fackender, Pat Johnston, Troy Somerville and John Zarb.

The Zone would like to thank outgoing coaching committee chair Doug Smith and umpire chair Cedric King.
