It will be an all Western Australia affair in the final of the 2019 BPL Cup as two sides from the same club shape up against each other on Thursday.

South Perth tasted victory in both semi-finals on Wednesday afternoon to ensure the BPL Cup would be coming home west to the club.

South Perth (Mortley) and Belconnen were the first cabs off the rank in semi-final one, with the Millers recording a 5-3 first set win.

ACT-based Belconnen hit back hard in the second set, winning 6-0 to force a tiebreaker. It was Mortley’s crew that was able to pinch the win, however, winning the end 1-0 and advancing to the final.

South Perth (Pauling) started their match against Harrington well hoping to emulate the efforts of their club mates, taking out the first set 6-2.

After trailing 5-1 going into the final end of the second set, South Perth managed to score two, doubled with their powerplay to four, and tie the set, win the match and set up a date with their fellow club members.
