2019 World Under-25 Championships: Silver for Srisamruaybai

by Bowls Australia on December 7, 2019

Australia’s Jessica Srisramruaybai has secured a silver medal in the Women’s Singles event at the 2019 World Under-25 Championships, falling just shy in a final that went the distance.

The Tweed Heads product had earlier beaten Wales’ Lauren Gowen in a tie-break to reach the decider, before requiring another tie-break in the final against Tonga’s Paris Baker to reach a result, only this time it was not a favourable one.

Elsewhere, Scotland’s Jason Banks secured the Men’s title, defeating England’s Connor Cinato in a straight-sets victory, following in the footsteps of the likes of compatriots Darren Burnett (four-time champion) and Stewart Anderson (twice champion) at this event.
