2021 Trans Tasman cancelled
The upcoming 2021 Trans Tasman Test Series event scheduled to be contested between the BCiB Australian Jackaroos and New Zealand Blackjacks has been cancelled due to COVID-19 implications.
The event, which was set to be staged at Gold Coast’s Club Helensvale from November 16-19, will not be contested this year, resulting from ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, border closures, lockdowns and uncertainties affecting both nations.
If feasible, Bowls Australia’s High Performance team will look to utilise a portion of the days allocated to the event for squad training and reactivation on the Gold Coast, as they continue to prepare for the next international benchmark event, the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
