2023 BPL Cup National Finalists locked in
After months of local, regional and state qualifiers, 12 national finalists have been confirmed to battle it out for the 2023 BPL Cup in the biggest year the event has seen to date.
12 sides from across Australia will compete at Brisbane’s Club Pine Rivers from Sunday, November 12 in the seventh instalment of the event.
The national finals will feature two teams each from NSW, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia, with solitary sides representing the ACT, Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania.
Both Victorian teams will have direct ties to BPL teams, with franchise owner clubs advancing to the finals.
Club Sunbury (Melbourne eXtreme owners) and Dandenong Club (Melbourne Pulse owners) both had a team qualify to compete at Club Pine Rivers.
Right at Home Emerging Jackaroo and South Australian star Nathan Black will look to add a second BPL Cup title to his CV as he and his Grange teammates represent SA.
South Perth are once again among the WA representatives, with Bowls WA CEO Ken Pride and former Perth Sun Helen Morss looking to bring the trophy back to the west for the first time since 2019.
The BPL Cup Final will once again be broadcast live on Fox Sports & Kayo, with this year’s final to be played at 1pm on Thursday, November 16.
This year’s BPL Cup was the biggest in the event’s history, with more team entries and qualifying rounds played than ever before.
More than 950 teams participated across the country in 145 rounds.
The BPL Cup began in 2017, merging the excitement of the Bowls Premier League with the fun and inclusiveness of participation product Jack Attack.
