After months of qualifying events, six teams from across the country have already booked their spots to compete at the BPL Cup National Finals in Moama next February.

Queensland, Northern Territory, ACT and South Australia have all completed their state finals to lock in sides to compete at Moama.

Darwin returns to the National Finals as the NT’s representatives after competing at Club Pine Rivers in 2019, while Goulburn Railway were the successful qualifiers from the ACT.

Teams from West Lakes and Henley made it through from the South Australia State Final, while some familiar names enjoyed some success in Queensland.

Broadbeach and Musgrave Hill progressed from Queensland, with the teams boasting impressive lineups, including Ryan Bester and Robert Parrella respectively.

A Commonwealth Games Singles gold medallist and Bowls Australia Hall of Fame member amongst an array of other honours, Parrella is an iconic figure in Australian bowls.

Bester boasts an impressive international record as well, with a World Championship gold to his name among other successes.

“The event is just fantastic to be involved with,” Bester said.

“It’s so much fun and the format makes it so anyone can win on their day.

“Having Rob in the national finals will be great, hopefully we get to meet in the final.”

Bester was already heading to BPL12 at Moama between February 23 and 26 next year, returning with the Murray Steamers to defend their BPL11 title.

The 16 national BPL Cup finalist teams receive an all-expenses-paid trip to compete in the BPL Cup National Finals, with the semi-finals live-streamed and the final broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports.

Western Australia will know their finalists on December 20, while Victoria and NSW will confirms theirs early next year and Tasmania’s state final still to be confirmed.
