BLK extends apparel partnership with Bowls Australia

by Lachlan Williams

Bowls Australia (BA) will continue to have access to top-of-the-range apparel after recently agreeing to a two-year partnership renewal with premium sportswear manufacturer BLK.

BLK will continue as BA’s preferred apparel supplier until at least 2022, continuing the strong partnership between both parties that began in 2015.

The renowned apparel company has been responsible for the production of BA staff and High Performance squad uniforms, including the teamwear worn by the BCiB Australian Jackaroos and Emerging Jackaroos squads.

Bowlers from around the country will continue to have access to premium teamwear and custom sports uniforms from the National Merchandise Program licensed manufacturer.

A range of apparel produced by BLK will continue to be displayed at key national bowls events such as the Bowls Premier League, Australian Open and Australian Indoors Championships, inclusive of custom-made team uniforms and merchandise produced by the company.

BA Chief Executive Officer Neil Dalrymple said it is exciting to continue working with BLK.

“We are delighted to extend our relationship with BLK Sport and we thank them for re-committing to BA for a further two years,” Dalrymple said.

“Our athletes and staff have universally praised the quality of garments produced and supplied by BLK over the past five years and will proudly continue wearing their iconic green and gold uniforms and other teamwear at the sport’s premier events.

“This is a strong endorsement for the sport of bowls in Australia as we navigate a return from the Covid-19 crisis, which ensures that BA can continue investing back into the sport at all levels.”

BLK CEO Andrew Suffell said the apparel supplier will work closely with BA and bowls clubs to continue their quality service.

“It was a business priority to extend our partnership with Bowls Australia into the future, working closely with Neil and his team, we aim to be very active throughout all clubs across the next two years which will ensure all clubs have the opportunity to wear the highest quality garments available to them at a competitive price,” Suffell said.

“I would like to take this time to thank the Bowls Australia team for their support along with the many bowls clubs that are currently wearing our BLK brand on the greens.
