Bowls Australia welcomes Kate Hutchison to Board
Bowls Australia (BA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Hutchison as an Appointed non-Executive Director on the BA Board.
Hutchison joins the organisation from a background in sporting communications and is currently the Head of Media and Communications at Swimming Australia.
The 38-year-old has previously worked in mid to senior-level communications positions with the Australian Men’s Cricket team and New Zealand Rugby Union.
Bowls Australia President Darryl Clout said Hutchison’s understanding and knowledge of international sport, particularly in public relations, media and communications, would be greatly beneficial to the BA Board.
“Each of our Appointed Directors have been able to make significant contributions to the development of our sport and I would expect Kate will do exactly that,” he said.
“Kate is immensely experienced in the corporate communications world and joins the Board at an exciting time as the sport continues to craft its brand in the Australian sporting landscape.”
Hutchison will serve her first term on the board until this year’s AGM in October.
