The 2020 BPL Cup qualifying process will soon get under way across the country, with host venue registrations now open.

Clubs can nominate expressions of interest to be a host venue for rounds of the 2020 BPL Cup, with any affiliated Bowling Club in Australia able to apply.

Clubs interested in being a host venue for the 2020 BPL Cup can complete an online form here, and are required to be completed by Friday, February 14 (extended to Friday, February 28).

The BPL Cup is expected to be bigger and better in 2020, with key changes made to better help clubs following feedback from 2019.

Competition will commence earlier in the year to better align with warmer weather and bowling seasons in the southern part of the country and there will be earlier advice dates for regional and state finals. These changes require host venues to identify programs preliminary round dates earlier.

State finals will also undergo minor changes, with areas separated from major population centres and previous state finals venues (eg. Northern Queensland, Northern NSW) to have separate qualifiers to progress to the national finals.

The BPL Cup provides an opportunity for club-based teams to progress through various rounds to national finals, to be played in parallel with the November leg of the BPL at Club Pine Rivers, Queensland, an all-expenses paid trip.

The third instalment of the BPL Cup in 2019 featured 84 venues, 690 team entries and more than 2400 participants across the country.
