BPL Cup host club registrations now open

by Bowls Australia on February 18, 2021

As teams gear up to do battle for the 2020 BPL Cup from this weekend, clubs across the country can now commence their 2021 campaigns for the coveted trophy.

Expressions of Interest to host 2021 preliminary qualifying rounds are now being accepted.

After what was a difficult year in 2020 for the sport of bowls, the BPL Cup showed how successful the format is with high number of entries and host venues which almost mirrored 2019 numbers.

In 2021, it is expected that the BPL Cup will be bigger and better, with more host venues and players from all around Australia vying to become the BPL Cup champions.

Great interest has already been shown to host qualifying rounds, with the competition’s first event to get under way from March 21 at Queensland’s Coolum Beach Bowls Club.

Events are also already filling up calendars throughout April, with interested clubs urged to get involved with this great event.

To register your club’s interest, please complete the Expression of Interest for Host Clubs online form by Friday, April 30.

The national BPL Cup finalist teams receive an all-expenses-paid trip to compete in the BPL Cup National Finals, with the final broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports.

If you have any questions or are having issues with the online form please contact bplcup@bowls.com.au, or for more details about the BPL Cup click here.
