BPL20: Day 3 recap
For a third straight day, a new team leads the pack at the conclusion of play from BPL20 at the City of Moreton Bay’s Club Pine Rivers.
The Tweed Ospreys swooped into pole position after the 15 rounds of contests staged across the opening three days of action, with a further three wins from the five rubbers today.
However, they are not without competition within the top half of the standings, with three other teams on equal victories, with Tasmania Tridents, Sydney Lions and Melbourne Pulse separated by net set points.
Such is the evenness of the competition, just there’s just two wins separating top of the table Ospreys with ninth-placed Melbourne Extreme.
The Geelong Jets went into free-fall on the third day, dropping from first place to fifth, after managing just one win throughout the day, but remain just one victory outside from the top four and primed for an assault on Thursday’s ‘moving day’.
Competition commences again tomorrow morning from 9am AEST for round 16, with live-streaming occurring across four rounds right through the conclusion of the 1.15pm round 20 match, before broadcast commences at 4pm on Fox Sports, Kayo and Sky Sport NZ.
BPL20 runs from November 11-15, 2024, at Club Pine Rivers with live-streaming on Bowls Australia’s YouTube channel, as well as live broadcasts from Tuesday to Friday from 4pm until 10pm AEST on Fox, Kayo and Sky Sports NZ.
