BPL’s stars to be recognised with new award

by Lachlan Williams on February 18, 2022

The upcoming 14th edition of the Bowls Premier League (BPL) will be full of firsts, introducing two new franchises, with more teams and matches than ever, as well as a brand new award.

As well as awarding a tournament MVP, BPL14 will mark the first ever BPL All Star Team.

An All Star team of three players will be named post-event, recognising their outstanding efforts throughout the course of the week at Moama.

The side will be determined by MVP voting, with the top players named to the team. Similarly to BPL teams, the side will feature at least one male or female player in the side (if top two are the same gender, the leading vote-getter from the opposite gender is selected).

The coach of the championship side will be named coach of the All Star team.

#BPL14 commences on Monday, February 21 and runs until Friday, February 25. Matches will be live-streamed on the Bowls Australia Facebook page during the day, with remaining games broadcast live on Fox Sports, Kayo and Sky Sport NZ from 4pm AEDT.
