We continue our series scanning the country for the clubs you need to visit this summer, with Western Victoria next in focus.

Warrnambool

At the end of the Great Ocean Road, you’ll find the picturesque seaside town that is Warrnambool, a region famous for budding a number of sporting stars including golfer Marc Leishman and a number of AFL footballers. Located 200 metres from the beach and camping grounds is the Warrnambool Bowls Club, open seven days a week to cater for all your needs while offering two all-year-round grass greens. Join in the fun during the club’s social bowls on Wednesdays and Fridays. Also in this great town is Warrnambool City Memorial, which boasts four synthetic greens with a very popular offering for visitors of $5 green fees plus a $3 voucher to use at the club cafe or bar!

Murray River –  West

Euston Bowling and Recreation Resort 

Located right on the bank of the mighty Murray River across from Robinvale, Euston Bowling and Recreation Resort can cater for all your needs on and off the green, providing accommodation (cabins and a motel) on site, a large modern restaurant and entertainment facilities. Bowling facilities include both grass and synthetic green promising bowling in all conditions. Both greens overlook the Murray River while lighting facilities are installed over the greens to allow for twilight/evening bowling.

Ballarat 

Sebastopol Bowling Club

One of Victoria’s largest clubs, Sebastopol Bowling Club possesses two excellent grass greens plus their most recent addition of an undercover outdoor green (The Dome), providing a great introduction for bowlers who are just beginning their journey to those more experienced bowlers who are keen to avoid the elements and play on a top surface.
