Employment of two General Managers
Bowls Australia has commenced its search for two newly created General Manager positions to help shape the future of the sport.
Under the organisation’s new staffing structure, the General Manager of Commercial Operations and General Manger of Bowls Operations will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and will both manage a team of highly motivated individuals.
The General Manager Commercial Operations will provide leadership and direction to the areas of communications and marketing, events, IT and the national merchandising program in accordance with the Bowls Australia Strategic Plan 2013 – 2017.
A focus of this role will be to increase sponsorship and commercial revenues for the organisation as well as implement and manage new commercial opportunities as they arise.
This newly created position will manage a team of five staff (four direct reports, one indirect report) who will be focussed on ensuring the commercial success of Bowls Australia as a business.
Similarly, the General Manager Bowls Operations will provide leadership and direction to the areas of participation and high performance.
This recently created position will manage a team of 27 staff (three direct reports, 24 indirect reports) who will be focussed on leading, managing and driving both the National Participation Program and the National High Performance Program.
Remuneration packages of $130,000 – $140,000 including superannuation will be available to the successful candidates, negotiable depending upon skill level and experiences.
Applications for both positions close on Friday, April 19, with interviews taking place in April / May, and the successful candidates anticipated to commence duties in June / July, or as soon as possible after appointment.
