Adelaide Endurance is making the most of their time in Queensland Adelaide Endurance have taken the first major step in their charge for a semi-final berth at the $100,000 Australian Premier League.

The surprise packet Endurance combination of Wayne Ruediger, Mark Haines and Scott Thulborn look destined to appear in a medal play-off match after conquering the top placed Brisbane Gold contingent in their round eight encounter at Club Pine Rivers this afternoon.

With just two rounds remaining before semi-finals, the Endurance notched up their fifth victory courtesy of 8-4, 7-2 straight sets hiding of the hometown heroes.

The result wasn’t too costly for the Gold outfit though, who still retain a one game buffer on top of the ladder, while the Perth Suns also loom as a likely medal contender with a game clear of fifth placed Melbourne Roys.

Perth’s comprehensive 8-3, 7-2 victory of the across the ditch rivals, the New Zealand Blackjacks, puts them right in the hunt for a decent share of the $100,000 prize money on offer.

The live Fox Sports 2 televised matches commenced at 5.00pm AEST tonight, featuring the inclusion of Crackerjack star Mick Molloy, with the Endurance and Roys first off the rank, then the bottom placed Lions and international Blackjack raiders take to the green at 6.30pm, followed by the Gold and Suns squaring off at 8.00pm.

The tenth and final round-robbin encounters will be staged at 2.00pm AEST tomorrow, with broadcasted televised semi-finals commencing from 5.00pm AEST.
