Hall of Fame & Awards Night

In 2021, Bowls Australia is staging the 11th edition of the sport’s annual Awards Night, and simultaneously, its sixth Hall of Fame function.

The Awards Night function is a fantastic opportunity to recognise bowls’ most deserving players, officials and volunteers for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

The Hall of Fame was traditionally staged biennially, every second year, alongside the Awards Night. From 2021, the Hall of Fame will be staged in conjunction with the Awards Night every year.

To simply be nominated for one of the 10 award categories on offer is an accomplishment in itself.

All individuals, clubs and organisations that are confirmed as finalists should be considered winners, and the sport is far better for the contributions they have made over the year.

We take this opportunity to recognise Bowls Australia’s valued partner organisations, whose continual support ultimately allows us to stage these award ceremonies.

In particular, we acknowledge Sport Australia, Tourism and Events Queensland, City of Gold Coast, BCiB Insurance Brokers, Commonwealth Games Australia, Stockland Retirement Living, and BLK, as well as the staff that represent these organisations, for their support.

The sport’s night of nights will return to an in-person setting this year, following last year’s ‘virtual event’, and will be staged on the Gold Coast on the evening of Monday, October 11 during the 2021 Nationals.
