Boosted by recent funding from the Federal Government, Bowls Australia (BA) is expanding its Jack Attack program, the fun and fast-paced format of the sport which aims to encourage participation with non-bowling members of the community.
In April, BA was successful in receiving $250,000 in funding for the program, as part of Sport Australia's $28.9 million Move It AUS Participation Grant Program.
The funding will be used to expand the program to more clubs nationwide, in both metro and regional areas, with a number of added resources and incentives available for both new and existing Jack Attack-licensed clubs.
A once-off $450 Jack Attack license fee (no cost for existing Jack Attack licensed clubs) will give clubs the opportunity to access a trained Jack Attack coordinator (supplied by Bowls Australia) to assist with the running of the program.
BA will support clubs in their program promotion and player recruitment with a number of beneficial resources, including hard-copy and digital marketing collateral (videos, social media tiles, press release templates, etc.), scorecards, promotional merchandise and apparel.
