Up next, Damien Delgado.

How did you get started in bowls?
I was told there was a chair I could use on the green by a greenkeeper and I’d thought I would give it a go

Which was the first bowls club you became involved with?
Cabarita Beach Bowls and Sports Club.

Which clubs have you been involved with throughout your journey?
Cabarita Beach and Club Tweed

Who is your current club and how have they shown you support throughout your career?
Club Tweed, they have been amazing not only on green support but off green support has been incredible.

Who has been the biggest influence on your bowls journey and why?
Peter Schofield – early on he showed me the ropes and looked after me.

Is there a particular coach who has influenced your bowls journey the most?
Not one in particular but all the high performance staff have been great to a chat with and learn more about the game.

Why is the 2023 World Bowls Championships so important to you and the people who have helped you on your journey?
To be the first para team to play at the World Bowls Championships in my very own backyard Is incredible. And to be able to have family, friends and club members on the sideline will give us an enormous advantage.
