Latest National Player Rankings for December released

by Val Febbo

A Queensland takeover has occurred in the men’s rankings, while a fellow Queenslander retains her spot at the helm of the women’s National Player Rankings following the latest update for December.

After placing second in the November 30 update, the Sunshine State’s Kane Nelson has risen to top, dethroning Western Australia’s Cody Packer, who has dropped six places to seventh.

It is another bonus for the 16-year-old, who was awarded Bowls Australia’s Under-18 Bowler of the Year title in November.

Queensland boasts the top four players in the men’s rankings with Nelson, Jake Rynne, Nick Cahill and older brother Jacob Nelson rounding out the quartet.

The Queensland dominance continues into the women’s competition with BCiB Jackaroo Chloe Stewart maintaining her number one ranking, sitting 19 points clear of Cassandra Millerick in second place; there were no changes to the top five.
