Murphy appointed as a National Selector

Recently appointed National Assistant Coach, Karen Murphy AM has now been confirmed as a National Selector, following appointment from Bowls Australia’s Board.

The former BCiB Australian Jackaroo and veteran of 668 appearances for the nation commenced her role in support of National Coach Gary Willis last month and will add selection duties to her tasks over the next two years.

Her extensive knowledge of the national squad, and international opposition, as well as day-to-day involvement in their development and preparation makes her an ideal candidate for the position.

Murphy will make up a quartet of selectors on the national selection panel, joining Willis, Dave Stockham and Therese Hastings.

Her term as a selector will run through to the conclusion of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
