National Rankings – August 2024

The bowlers at the top of the remain unchanged once again with the August National Rankings Update being released.

In the men’s rankings, Josh Walker-Davis had his 65-point buffer trimmed to 36 as Ireland’s Gary Kelly jumped into second spot.

Australian Indoor Championships winner Jack McShane leapt into the top five after another scintillating month, a further eight back from Kelly in second.

McShane’s Australian Open men’s pairs winning teammate in Joseph Clarke finished the month in fourth, while Queensland’s Kane Nelson rounds out the quintet.

The women’s rankings update sees Right at Home Jackaroo Dawn Hayman hold on to her spot on top after yet another brilliant month of bowls.

Hayman sits 86 points ahead of her Australian teammate Kristina Krstic in second spot, with Australian Indoor Championships runner up Chloe Stewart coming in third.

Ellen Fife sits in fourth place following her hefty collect at the Australian Open, while Emerging Jackaroo Jessie Cottell drops one spot to fifth.

The National Rankings System operates on a yearly rolling-points system, where all points accrued are retained for a 12-month period and are then discounted. Players can accrue ranking points from all national events, State Championships, State Champion of Champion and selected club events.
