Position Vacant – Bowls SA Operations Manager

Bowls SA is the peak body for lawn bowls in South Australia, representing 17,000 Members and 220 Member Clubs, and is responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of the sport throughout the state.
Bowls SA is seeking to appoint an experienced administrator with outstanding communication and administration skills for the role of Operations Manager overseeing a small team of staff and working with volunteers.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for managing all existing Bowls SA events and competitions; developing, promoting and delivering new programs, initiatives and events for Bowls SA and Member Clubs directed at the growth and development of the sport. 
The position will also oversee the implementation and management of an elite level Athlete Program to maximise development of talented and elite level bowlers and coaches to improve the national standing of South Australian bowls.
A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
The successful applicant will possess:
•A current Driver’s Licence, be available for some weekend and out of hours work and to travel from time to time, locally and interstate
•Proven ability to work with volunteers, staff and other key stakeholders
•Sound knowledge of the sporting sector and governance best practice 
•Tertiary qualifications in management or sport management is highly desirable
•Experience in delivering participation initiatives/programs is highly desirable
•Advanced interpersonal skills
•Proven ability to project manage multiple projects
•Outstanding presentation skills.
