Review of the Laws of the Sport of Bowls

by admin on May 13, 2013

With the imminent arrival of the sport’s pinnacle event, the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, World Bowls have began the process of reviewing the Laws of the Sport of Bowls – Crystal Mark Second Edition.

To facilitate the review, Bowls Australia’s National Officiating Committee (NOC) are providing individuals with the opportunity to contribute to the review of the laws and Australia’s domestic regulations, in addition to the state and territory association’s rules/appeals/umpiring committees.

Before finalising its submission to the game’s governing body, Bowls Australia wish to canvass the opinions of all registered members, including engaging clubs, districts, zones, groups, state and territory associations and the NOC in order submit revisions that will benefit all bowlers from across the globe, not just Australians.

Bowls Australia are requesting that any suggested amendment to the laws and/or domestic regulation be sent to your State/Territory Association via your club and association/zone/region/district as per the instructions of your STA.

Once the responses have been gathered, the NOC will consider and put forward any proposed amendments to World Bowls, and advise of any accepted changes in due course.
