Sides 2019: Flawless NSW remain in pole position

by Bowls Australia on April 12, 2019

New South Wales has emerged from the pack to go a game clear on top of both the Men’s and Women’s standings after Day 2 of the 2019 Australian Sides Championships.

The Blues enjoyed crucial victories over both Victoria and Western Australia, with the women particularly impressing in their comfortable handling of the previously undefeated WA women, while their male counterparts were forced to come from behind against the same opponent.

Elsewhere, Queensland and Tasmania remain in the hunt in the Men’s Alley Shield with just one loss apiece, while Victoria’s late victory over Tasmania ensures they’re evenly placed at 2-2 alongside the South Australians.

In the Women’s Marj Morris Trophy, Queensland and WA sit a game behind NSW, while the ACT and Tasmania have broken even after four rounds of action.
