Suns return to home grown talent

by Bowls Australia on March 9, 2021

The Perth Suns will make three changes to their line-up from the recent #BPL12, as preparations ramp up for BPL13 to be held at Queensland’s Club Pine Rivers from next month.

Returning to the fold for the April 20-23 event are Cody Packer and Kristina Krstic as players, replacing Lee Schraner and Genevieve Delves, while former player Pieter Harris will resume the coaching role in place of Josh Thornton, who guided the Suns to the finals in BPL12 in Moama.

The franchise has retained the services of Ray Pearse, after his runner-up placing in the MVP Award on the Murray last month.

Packer, Krstic and Harris were prevented from participating in the recent event due to the Covid-19 travel restrictions within Western Australia at the time.

Packer (28) and Krstic (26) are still at the peak of their powers; with Packer crowned last season’s WA Bowler of the Year and Krstic coming off her fourth WA State Singles victory plus a comprehensive Ladies Masters victory in recent months to have her sitting as the second ranked female bowler in Australia.
