Teenage duo added to Trans Tasman Development team

by Bowls Australia on October 7, 2019

Following their standout performances at the 2019 Australian Under-18 Championships, Queensland duo Kira Bourke and Jake Rynne have been added to Australia’s Development team for the 2019 Trans Tasman Test Series in November.

Both Australia and New Zealand will feature Development teams, alongside their Open and Over-60’s contingents (to be selected following 2019 Australian Senior Sides Championships), giving selectors the opportunity to cast their eye of the next batch of international aspirants during the three-day event which kicks off on November 25 on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

In last week’s National Championships, Bourke (17) collected her third straight Girls’ Singles gold medal along with gold in the Pairs, while Rynne (15) secured silver in both the Boys’ Singles and Pairs.

The teenage duo are existing members of the Australian Emerging Jackaroos and will don the green and gold for the very first time.
