Three Pathway Coaches to bolster High Performance program

by Bowls Australia on October 15, 2020

Bowls Australia (BA) has confirmed the recruitment of three Pathway Coaches, which will bolster the organisation’s High Performance program.

Lynsey Clarke (Queensland), Ian Ewing (Victoria) and Matthew Northcott (South Australia) will join BA in a part-time capacity and be tasked with working with athletes who are categorised as either Developing or Emerging athletes in the BA Player Pathway system.

All three individuals are well known in the Australian bowls landscape, with Clarke a current BCiB Australian Jackaroo and former Commonwealth Games gold medallist, while Ewing and Northcott have enjoyed distinguished representative careers with their respective states.

These roles, provided with considerable support from the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Performance Pathways Program, will provide an opportunity to work with athletes who are striving to represent Australia at future Commonwealth Games, World Bowls Championships and other international events.
