Victoria add more silverware to the cabinet following Senior Sides triumph
The ‘Big V’ have continued their impressive run of form across all tiers of national bowls events, collecting the Glyn Bosisto MBE Overall Champions trophy following the 2018 Australian Senior Sides Championships.
Along with their gong as the best overall team, Victoria was also crowned with the John Dobbie AM Men’s trophy as the best-performed Men’s team.
Only a fortnight ago, Victoria secured the very same trophies at the 2018 Australian Under-18 Championships, a sure sign that bowls is certainly strong at both ends of the age spectrum in the southern state.
It was New South Wales (NSW) who pipped Western Australia (WA) for the Betty Collins OAM Women’s trophy, sealing the triumph on the very last end of the last-finishing rink in their match against Western Australia.
