#WarillaWorldCup: Van Asch & Henry advance to semi-finals

Australian pair Rebecca Van Asch and Jeremy Henry have advanced to the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup at Warilla following tense victories in their respective quarterfinals.

Having finished third in her section, Van Asch was drawn to take on South Africa’s Colleen Piketh whom she defeated 8-4 6-8 3-2 in a tie-break finish.

Six-time winner Henry prevailed 6-6 8-7 over New Zealand rising star Seamus Curtin, however fellow Warilla teammate and Australian Aaron Teys failed to advance, going down 6-7 4-9 to Scotland’s John Fleming.

Bowls Australia will be live-streaming the final two days of the event from Tuesday, March 12 to Wednesday, March 13, including all semi-finals and finals.
