2019 World Singles Champion of Champions: Aussies top sections after Day 2

by Bowls Australia on October 30, 2019

Australia’s hopefuls at the 2019 World Singles Champion of Champions are well-placed following Day 2 of the prestigious competition, currently leading their respective sections.

Despite a match tie-break loss to England’s Sophie Tolchard, Kylie Whitehead remains the leader in Section 1 (Women) after four matches, while Lee Schraner’s flawless start to the tournament sees him as the outright leader in Section 1 (Men).

The 2019 World Singles Champion of Champions will be played in two sections in both men’s and women’s events.

The top of each section will go forward to the semi-finals, while the 2nd and 3rd placings in each section will be randomly drawn to play off for the remaining two places in the semi-finals.

The winner of Play-Off 1 will play the winner of Section 1 in Semi-Final 1. The winner of Play-Off 2 will play the winner of Section 2 in Semi-Final 2.

Bowls Australia (BA) will be live-streaming finals action from the 2019 World Singles Championships, from Saturday, November 2 to Sunday, November 3.
