2020 Burnside Pairs: Mixed fortunes for Aussies on Day 1

by Bowls Australia on January 17, 2020

The Australian combinations have experienced mixed fortunes on the opening day of the 2020 Burnside Pairs in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Skippered by Aaron Wilson and Carl Healey, the men’s combinations enjoyed undefeated starts to the tournament to each win all three of their opening matches, while our women experienced indifferent results, with three wins from a possible six collectively.

Genevieve Delves and Bolivia Millerick sit in fourth place (out of six) and Lynsey Clarke and Rebecca Van Asch in third, while our men currently top both their respective sections.

The remaining sectional rounds will be completed tomorrow (Saturday) before the commencement of post-sectional play. Details on the format of post-sectional play can be found here.
