The National Finals of the 2022 BPL Cup competition began on Sunday, with plenty of excitement in the air.

Before taking to the green, players had the opportunity to receive their BPL replica playing tops from some of the stars of the Bowls Premier League.

After the excitement it was time to get down to business, with three sessions of play at Brisbane’s Club Pine Rivers on Sunday evening.

The competition is made up of three sections of five teams, and another of four.

The top of each section will advance to semi finals on Wednesday.

Tasmania’s Trevallyn and WA’s Goomalling made promising starts with wins in section 1, Nightcliff have made an early break with two wins to top section two after one day of play, as did Victoria’s Highton in section 3.

Canberra and Winsdor took out victories in the fourth section.
