8-nations – Day 2 teams, results & standings

by admin on August 27, 2013

As Day two of the 8-nations event drew to a close, coach Steve Glasson reports that our men’s team are doing particularly well and we are ‘rotating’ our players quite a bit through different combinations to identify the right ‘mix’ of players and combinations while other countries are not rotating quite as much which places greater emphasis on the men’s performances thus far
The Bowlers with a Disability Triples are also well up the order with just one loss however have a big test ahead of them against the more fancied ‘Scots’.
The Jackaroo women continue to work their way into the competition with three wins from six matches today and a couple of near misses also. Glasson reports that the win of the women’s fours was particularly pleasing over a strong ‘hard to beat’ Scottish foursome – but they did! Fantastic.
In the final day of sectional play and then finals, the Men’s Pairs will play off for Gold and the Men’s Triples are a chance of the same. The Ladies, all going well will play off for bronze in the fours while the AWD are a big chance for a podium finish as well.
