by Bowls Australia on January 10, 2020

Sportswear provider and Bowls Australia official apparel partner BLK Sport will provide support to sports clubs affected by ongoing bushfires across Australia.

On Friday, BLK launched a $60,000 bushfire fund to support impacted groups in replacing playing kits lost or damaged in the fires.

“At BLK we believe in the power of sport to build strong communities and want to play a small part in rebuilding the communities that have been devastated,” BLK Sport CEO Tyron Brant said.

“We will be working with our partner clubs, associations and governing bodies across Australia to ensure we can help as many clubs as possible through the provision of replacement uniforms, free of charge.”

Mr Brant said his company was looking for a way to help those impacted by the fires.

“There are plenty of organisations and charities doing fantastic things in response to what is happening, but thought of how we could best help and decided that would be through what is the fabric of Australian community – sport,” he said.

Affected organisations do not need to be existing BLK customers to apply for the funds.
