The competition has been whittled down following the preliminary rounds, with just a handful of teams remaining to contest each state final.
The state finalists, who have earned their place by virtue of winning one of pathway events, are just one step away from a golden ticket, which includes return airfares, transfers, four nights accommodation and more for three players to BPL06, at Brisbane’s Club Pine Rivers from November 14 to 17, where they will compete in the BPL Cup Final against the other state/territory winners.
First, they must overcome their own state’s preliminary event winners to earn that right.
The Northern Territory was the first state or territory to know which team earned a berth in the BPL Cup Final, with their preliminary event held at Nightcliff Sports Club last Sunday.
Tasmania’s victorious team will be determined at their final this upcoming Saturday, to be played at East Launceston Bowling Club from 10.30am.
The ACT will determine their winner from a preliminary BPL Cup event, which will be contested at Tuggeranong Vikings Lawn Bowls Club on September 16 and 17 from 5.00pm.
South Australia’s ultimate winner will be determined at Salisbury Bowling Club on Sunday, September 17 from 9.30am.
NSW’s final is set to be held at Club Mount Lewis on Sunday, September 24 from 10.00am.
Victoria’s champion team will be decided at Fitzroy Victoria Bowls and Sports Club on Sunday, September 24 from 11.00am.
The Queensland final will be staged at Club Pine Rivers on Saturday, October 7 from 9.00am.
