#BPL08 – Day 2: Ladder logjam as half-way mark is reached

by Aidan Davis on November 14, 2018

Competition for places is certainly heating up as we reach the half-way mark of BPL08, with just two wins separating first and last place.

After a flawless start on opening day, the Gorillas failed to register a win on Day 2 to slide to third place, while the Roys soared to first position following a slow start to the tournament.

The top-four, who progress through to Friday night’s finals, is completed by the Steamers and Pirates, both on four wins after eight matches.

Meanwhile, the defending champions in the Hawks are slowly mounting their climb up the table to sit just outside the top four on set points and are followed by the Black Jacks, Lions and Suns.

You can catch all the BPL08 action daily via Bowls Australia’s Facebook page (Rinkside Live) and be sure to tune into Fox Sports (Sky Sports NZ for New Zealand audiences) nightly from 6pm AEDT for the action-packed night sessions.

Day 2 also saw two further teams progress through to the semi-finals of the BPL Cup National Finals in Weston Creek (ACT) and Narrabri (NSW).
