Full steam ahead for Millerick at #BPL16

The Moama Steamers have made a change to its #BPL16 squad with Right at Home Emerging Jackaroo Cassandra Millerick coming into the team to replace an injured Natasha Van Eldik.

Millerick plays out of the Moama Bowling Club and will join five-time tournament MVP and four-time winner Aron Sherriff and fellow multiple MVP and champion Ryan Bester as the franchise will look to improve on a fifth place at BPL15 in May.

The 28-year-old is humbled at the opportunity to play in the made-for-television event and hopes that she can dazzle the Club Pine rivers crowd under lights.

“I’m really excited, I am a bit nervous obviously but I can’t really express how excited and happy I am to be going, it’s just so great” she said.

“To be playing under lights and on television is so exciting, I can’t wait.

“It will be a. it of a challenge as I’ve never really done that before with all of the lights but it will be a great experience either way.”

When discussing the prospect of teaming up with Sherriff and Bester, Millerick beamed with pride to be selected alongside two of the competition’s most successful bowlers.

“I want to play with the best, I want to get better and I want to know the shots they play,” she said.

“I just want to play with them and see what they do, hopefully I don’t disappoint, but if I go out there and do what I do I’m sure everything will be alright.”

BPL16 is scheduled for November 7-11, 2022, with 24 hours of live broadcast on Fox Sports, Kayo and Sky Sports NZ across Tuesday to Friday evenings from 4pm-10pm AEST, 5pm-11pm AEDT.
