Bowls Australia is pleased to announce that Wagga Wagga local and avid bowler David Inglis has been appointed to the position of Regional Bowls Manager for the Riverina region of NSW. Bowls Australia is pleased to announce that Wagga Wagga local and avid bowler David Inglis has been appointed to the position of Regional Bowls Manager for the Riverina region of NSW.
David has been actively involved in the sport of bowls for over 35 years at club, district and zone level and boasts 29 interstate test appearances for Victoria and the ACT.
A member of the Wagga RSL Bowling Club for the past 14 years, David has served on the match and selection committee for the Wagga and District Bowling Association and is still actively involved at committee level at his club.
Already well known to many clubs and bowlers in his region and having been involved in the sport for a long period of time David is well aware of what is required to continue to grow the sport of bowls particularly in regional Australia and has been involved in many strategies and innovations to encourage greater participation through try bowls days and social bowls at Wagga RSL Bowling Club and showing potential new members the finer points of the game.
David will service 68 clubs in the Riverina region and will commence in the role on September 15.
