International Technical Official applications

Applications for qualified umpires who wish to be accredited as International Technical Officials (ITOs) should be received by Bowls Australia by Friday, April 15. World Bowls have confirmed that another round of International Technical Official assessments will be available this year and is seeking applications from suitably qualified umpires who wish to be accredited as an ITO.

Applicants for the position must meet the following qualifying criteria:

• Have actively officiated for a minimum period of three years. That is, have officiated annually in at least five events at any level for a combined total of at least thirty hours.

• Have officiated in at least two International/National/National Division (State/Region/District) events in the two years immediately prior to the date of application.

• Have officiated as a marker during the quarter-final, semi-final or final stages of at least two International/National/National Division (State/County/Province/Region) events in the two years immediately prior to the date of application.

Applications should be received by Bowls Australia by close of business on Friday, April 15. Late applications will not be accepted.

Umpires who have previously applied may reapply provided 12 months has passed since their previous assessment.

After the closing date expires, all umpires will receive notification of their STA assessment dates which will be conducted in the first half of 2016.
