Jackaroo hits the green with Stockland residents

There were plenty of smiling faces on the green at Stockland’s Affinity Village in Western Australia last month, with Australian Jackaroo Kristina Krstic dropping by to run a coaching clinic.

Keen bowls fans and residents interested to learn something new took to the green to learn from Krstic, one of the country’s best young bowlers.

The Jackaroo ran the participants through a variety of different activities to teach them something new all while having a great time.

Krstic said the residents and everyone at the village were incredibly welcoming, and took plenty out of it herself.

“I really enjoyed myself and I hope the residents took something away from the session,” she said.

After several interruptions due to COVID-19, similar clinics will roll at Stockland Villages across the country in the coming months.

“We’re excited to be able to bring our residents together with safe, enjoyable events that help to make our communities vibrant places to live,” said Julie Du Vernet, Village Manager Stockland Affinity

“Our lawn bowls coaching clinics are a great opportunity to reconnect with neighbours, while getting a few professional pointers to sharpen up your game at the same time from a Jackaroo. Many of our village residents have a keen interest in the sport, and we are proud to be able to encourage their passions and support them to lead healthy, happy lifestyles.”

Stockland residents from around the country will have more opportunities to learn from various Jackaroos and community coaches in the coming months.
