National Rankings – January 2023

by Lachlan Williams on February 13, 2023

The National Player Rankings has seen plenty of shifts after the first month of the new year, with a new leader in the men’s race.

A pair of Queenslanders sit atop the standings, not surprisingly so given their dominant 2022 seasons.

January’s update of the rankings sees Aron Sherriff move ahead into top spot, edging out Corey Wedlock after months atop the standings.

Sherriff’s points at the backend of the rankings period last year from the Australian Open have held him in good stead to move into top spot to lead in the new year.

Queenslander Kane Nelson enjoyed a 38-point boost to jump into the top five.

Kelsey Cottrell (QLD) remains in front in the women’s side of things, well clear of those in pursuit.

Alison Hall (VIC) moves into the top five, with little else changing towards the top of the standings.

Below are the latest National Player Rankings, as of January 31, 2023.
