The Right at Home Jackaroos World Bowls Championships team share some information that you might not have known about them in the past.
Our final edition is National Coach, Gary Willis.
Earliest bowls memory: I remember having a go of my grandmother’s bowls in my grandparents lounge room at a very young age, it was a very old case and bowls. I still have her Henselite bowls measure in my bedside draw.
Finest moment on the green: Been very fortunate to be part of teams winning grade 4, grade 2 and 16 grade 1 state pennant titles over the years and to me there in no finer moment when you go through the season building a team with your mates and then winning the title. It’s just brilliant, love pennant and always have.
Favourite dish: Home made Spaghetti Bolognese.
AFL or NRL: NRL, happy to watch either but don’t get to see much these days.
Tea or coffee: Coffee
Career/work inspiration: Working with great people and helping others be the best they can be.
First celebrity crush: Heather Locklear
Three items you couldn’t live without and why: Coffee, chocolate and Smiths Crisps (BBQ or Salt Vinegar) – addicted to all.
Outside of bowls what would be your dream job? Mow a football field all day, headphones on and zone out.
Favourite non-bowls athlete and why: Doug Walters – freakish talent but also a funny, loveable larrakin, Steve Waugh – just tough and a great leader.
Favourite movie: Anything with Clint Eastwood in it really.
Favourite TV show: Hook, Line and Sinker – fishing show.
Cats or dogs: Dogs
Which player would be the most likely to be invited to your house for dinner? Haha all of them!
What reality show would you like to appear on? None.
Funniest Jackaroo & why: Tough one, they all have their moments but for me Lynsey/Kylie/Corey/Carl.
What music revs you up? Creedence Clearwater.
Your biggest pet peeve & why? Reality TV shows
Proudest non-bowls accomplishment: My kids.
Which Jackaroo is most likely to forget their keys? Aaron Wilson or Aaron Teys
Playstation, Xbox or Nintendo: Um haha not that I’ve spent more than five minutes on any of them, Xbox

Ideal holiday destination and why: I’d love a trip around Australia caravan/camping.
