Team change for Jackaroos ahead of NSW Five a Side
UPDATE: Regrettably, this event has now been cancelled for next week, amid ongoing concerns related to COVID-19.
Wayne Ruediger has replaced Corey Wedlock in the BCiB Australian Jackaroos team to partake in the upcoming NSW Five A Side, with the latter in recovery having recently sustained a knee injury in a car accident.
The remainder of the 2020 World Bowls Championships team will compete in this event from March 23-26, while Wedlock is expected to make a full recovery and is not expected to miss any further events with the Jackaroos.
As a result, Ruediger will come into play as lead in the Triples and second in the Fours, with Barrie Lester to deputise for Wedlock as lead in the Pairs.
The NSW Five A Side provides another valuable hit-out for the Australian teams as part of their ongoing preparation for the 2020 World Bowls Championships.
