Frost, who was bestowed the highest level of peer recognition when he was inducted into the sport’s national Hall of Fame in 2011 as part of the 1975-99 general category, was a tireless administrator for the sport at a state and national level.

He was a state representative on 40 occasions, and later a state selector for RNSWBA for 15 years from 1984 to 1999; 13 of which he held the position of Chairman.

At a national level, Frost was an Australian Selector for 10 years; 6 years of which he served as Chairman, during which time Australia won gold and silver medals at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Malaysia.

His contribution to the sport was also recognised in 2000, when he was awarded the Australian Sports Medal for his services to bowls.

Frost was also honoured two years ago with induction in the Bowls NSW’s Hall of Fame, as member number 15.

Bowls Australia’s Board and staff express their sympathies to Frost’s family and friends.
