Vale Larry Bandy
Bowls Australia was saddened to hear the news of the passing of Bowls Western Australia President Larry Bandy.
Larry served as Bowls WA President since 2020, leading the organisation during a challenging time in the world.
Last year, Larry proudly accepted the Bowls Australia Club of the Year award on behalf of South Perth, exemplifying his passion for his club and bowls. Larry was also a member of the National Governance Reform Working Party.
“Larry has been a significant contributor to the game in so many ways. Some of us knew him best through his outstanding contribution to the Governance Working Group,” Bowls Australia President Bob Boorman said.
“He was thoughtful, energetic, engaged and always prepared to positively challenge the status quo. We have lost a very good man.”
