by Lachlan Williams on November 9, 2022

The hunt for the 2022 BPL Cup title is down to two teams, with Victoria’s Highton and NSW’s Armidale City winning their way through to tomorrow’s final.

The two sides took out semi final victories at Club Pine Rivers on Wednesday to book their spot on the big stage.

Both sides exited the sectional stage of the national finals with three wins and one loss to their name, both taking on undefeated teams.

Armidale City faced off against Canberra, taking out a hard-fought straight sets win.

They took an early lead in the first set to hold on 5-4, before going on to book a spot in the final with a 4-2 second set victory.

Highton met Tasmania’s Trevallyn, with a tiebreak needed to separate the teams.

Highton took the first set 7-4, before the Tasmanian side bounced back to win the second set 9-3. It was the Victorian side that was able to come out ahead in the tiebreak to book a spot against Armidale City.

The 2022 BPL Cup Final will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo from 1pm on Thursday.
